Arrive on
Friday afternoon (around 4 pm), unpack and settle in to your
room at the barn cottages before dinner at the farmhouse.
After a
leisurely breakfast we all head off with our packed lunches
to explore the Marsland Valley. Returning in good time to relax
before another 3 course dinner at the farmhouse.
To work
up a good appetite, after breakfast on Sunday, we set out north
along the Wreckers Coast to Hartland Quay where a quayside pub
awaits us. This slightly longer walk should set you up for dinner,
a traditional English Roast with all the trimmings.
Monday
we walk out again, this time heading south to Hawker's Morwenstow.
A visit to the historic church is a must as is the tiny Hawkers
Hut (The National Trust's smallest historic property). We may
also take in a visit to the ancient Bush Inn before heading
back to the farm in good time for dinner.
After breakfast
on Tuesday the day is your own. Perhaps you might visit some
of the areas attractions such as the Eden Project or combine
your visit with a local craft course. Lunch and Dinner are not
provided today.
Wednesday
lets us explore the waterfalls and rock formations at Welcombe
Mouth before we set off inland to discover some of the delights
in the hedgerows. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all provided.
We drive
out after Thursday's breakfast to the ancient settlement at
Browsham to walk along the cliffs right into the heart of the
picturesque Clovelly. You will have plenty of time explore the
cobbled streets leading down to the harbour and enjoy your packed
lunch before we return through the beautiful Clovelly Estate.
Time once again to relax before our last dinner together.
Friday
morning we wave you goodbye after breakfast and hope we will
see you again soon.
